115 Books of the Lithuanian Metrica Have Been Digitised and Are Now Available in EAIS
The Lithuanian State Historical Archives is pleased to announce that 115 books of the Lithuanian Metrica have been digitised and are now accessible through the Electronic Archives Information System (EAIS).
These unique historical sources preserve documents of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from the 15th to the 18th centuries — including privileges, treaties, court rulings, noble family cases, and other important records that reflect the governance, legal system, and everyday life of the time.
Researchers and the general public can now conveniently explore these documents online, via EAIS.
The Lithuanian State Historical Archives continues its digitisation efforts to ensure the preservation and accessibility of valuable historical records for future generations.
